Lesson 4.228mAdvanced4.2k students
Autoscaling workloads
Horizontal autoscaling adds pods when a metric crosses a threshold. It only works if requests are set and your app starts quickly.
This lesson sits in Operating a Cluster, part of DevOps with Docker and Kubernetes. It assumes what came before it and leads directly into the next lesson in the module.
In this lesson you will
- Scale pods on CPU or custom metrics
- Tune thresholds to avoid flapping
- Combine pod autoscaling with cluster autoscaling
